The Formaldehyde Standards for Composite Wood Products Act, establishes the world’s most stringent formaldehyde emissions standards for composite wood products. In CARB Phase 2 Emission Standards contains 0.05ppm in hardwood plywood. California Air Resources Board (CARB) exempt (NAF/ULEF) products have no added formaldehyde (NAF) and/or ultra-low emitting formaldehyde (ULEF)

BS1088 Marine Plywood Specification

The British Standard specification for marine plywood that applies to plywood produced with untreated tropical hardwood veneers that have a set level of resistance to fungal attack. To be qualitfied as marine plywood, it must be produced with untreated tropical hardwood veneers that have a set level of resistance to fungal attack, bonded with Weather Boil Proof (WBP) glue, no core voids, and controll thickness and number of plies.
